What is Prilosec?
Prilosec is a medication that helps treat heartburn.
 
 
Are there any side effects associated with Prilosec?
Prilosec side effects include headache, diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, vomiting, stomach pain, cough, cold symptoms, dizziness, and rash. If the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
 
How is Prilosec taken?
Follow the directions for taking Prilosec provided by your doctor. Swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water before eating in the morning and take every day for 14 days. Do not take more than 1 tablet a day. Don't chew or crush the tablets. Do not crush tablets in food. It is important not to use Prilosec for more than 14 days unless directed by your doctor.
 
Are there any effects of taking Prilosec with other medications?
Some medications may interact with Prilosec. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking, especially if you are taking warfarin, prescription antifungal or anti-yeast medicines, diazepam, or digoxin.
 
How should I store Prilosec?
Store Prilosec at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light.
