Plavix is an antiplatelet medicine that helps keep platelets in the blood from sticking together and forming clots.
Plavix is for patients with atherosclerosis who have had a recent heart attack or stroke, or who have a condition known as peripheral arterial disease or
poor circulation in the legs. |

| Are there any side effects associated with Plavix?
|
|
Plavix side effects include diarrhea or indigestion.
If
the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Contact
your doctor immediately if you experience sudden, severe, persistent headache; change in vision; rash; itching; nosebleeds; excessive bleeding from cuts; bleeding from gums when brushing teeth; increased menstrual bleeding; unexplained vaginal bleeding; unusual bruising; discoloration of urine or stool; black, tarry stools; sore throat or fever; weakness; speech problems; seizures; yellowing of the skin or eyes; or pale skin. |

| How is Plavix taken?

Follow the directions for taking Plavix provided by your doctor. This medicine may be taken on an empty stomach or with food.
If you miss a dose of Plavix, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do
not take two doses at once. |

| Are there any effects of taking Plavix with other medications?

Some medications may interact with Plavix. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. |

| How should I store Plavix?
|
|
Store Plavix at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light. |
