What is Nolvadex?
Nolvadex is an anticancer drug that is given to treat breast cancer. 
 
 
Are there any side effects associated with Nolvadex?
Nolvadex side effects may include hot flashes, nausea, and vomiting. If the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Less common Nolvadex side effects may include bone pain, diarrhea, menstrual irregularities, skin rash, tumor pain, vaginal bleeding, and vaginal discharge. Rare Nolvadex side effects may include blood clots, depression, distaste for food, dizziness, hair thinning or partial loss, headache, light-headedness, liver disorders, swelling of arms or legs, vaginal itching or dryness, and visual problems.
 
How is Nolvadex taken?
Follow the directions for taking Nolvadex provided by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication without first consulting your doctor. It may be necessary to continue taking the drug for several years. If you miss a dose go back to your regular schedule with the next dose. Do not take two doses at once.
 
Are there any effects of taking Nolvadex with other medications?
Some medicines may interact with Nolvadex. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Nolvadex with aminoglutethimide, blood-thinning drugs, bromocriptine, cancer drugs, letrozole, phenobarbital, or rifampin.
 
How should I store Nolvadex?
Store Nolvadex at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light.
