Alzheimer's disease. |

| Are there any side effects associated with Memantine?

Memantine side effects may include hallucinations, confusion, dizziness, headache, and tiredness.
If the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with
your doctor. Less common Memantine side effects may include anxiety,
hypertonia (increased muscle tone), vomiting, cystitis, and increased libido. |

| How is Memantine taken?

Follow the directions for taking Memantine provided by your doctor. Memantine can be taken with or without food.
The recommended starting dose of Memantine is 5 mg once daily. The recommended target dose is 20 mg/day. The dose
should be increased in 5 mg increments to 10 mg/day (5 mg twice a day), 15 mg/day (5 mg and 10 mg as separate doses),
and 20 mg/day (10 mg twice a day). The minimum recommended interval between dose increases is one week. If you miss a
dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule.
Do not take
two doses at once. |

| Are there any effects of taking Memantine with other medications?

Some medicines may interact with Memantine. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that
you are taking. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Memantine with amantadine, ketamine,
dextromethorphane, dantrolen, baclofen, cimetidine, ranitidine, procainamide, quinidine, quinine, nicotine, hydrochlorothiazide
(or combined preparations containing hydrochlorothiazide), anticholinergics, anticonvulsives, barbiturates, dopaminergic
antagonists, or neuroleptics. |

| How should I store Memantine?

Store Memantine at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light. |
