K-dur

 
What is K-dur?
K-dur is used to treat or prevent low potassium levels in people who may face potassium loss caused by digitalis, non-potassium-sparing diuretics, and certain diseases. 
 
 
Are there any side effects associated with K-dur?
K-dur side effects may include abdominal pain or discomfort, diarrhea, gas, nausea, stomach and intestinal ulcers and bleeding, blockage, or perforation, and vomiting. If the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
 
How is K-dur taken?
Follow the directions for taking K-dur provided by your doctor. Take K-dur with meals and with a full glass of water or some other liquid. Tell your doctor if you have difficulty swallowing K-dur. You may sprinkle the contents of the capsule onto a spoonful of soft food. Capsules and tablets should not be crushed, chewed, or sucked. If you miss a dose and it is within 2 hours of the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. If you do not remember until later, skip the dose you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at once.
 
Are there any effects of taking K-dur with other medications?
Some medicines may interact with K-dur. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. It is important to check with your doctor before combining K-dur with antispasmodic drugs, blood pressure medications classified as ACE inhibitors, digitalis, or potassium-sparing diuretics. Also tell your doctor if you use salt substitutes. 
 
How should I store K-dur?
Store K-dur at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light.
