and seek emergency medical attention: an allergic reaction, severe or prolonged chest pain or an irregular
heartbeat, or sudden and/or severe abdominal pain. Other, less serious side effects
include nausea, drowsiness or dizziness, tingling, flushing, warmth, redness, or heaviness of a body
part, unpleasant taste in the mouth, or nasal irritation. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome. |

| When should I take Imitrex?

works anytime during a migraine, but headache experts agree that it is best to treat a migraine early, at the first sign of migraine pain. |

| Are there any effects of taking Imitrex with other
medications? |
| Some medicines may interact with Imitrex. Inform your doctor
of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are
taking. It is important to check with your doctor before
combining Imitrex with drugs classified as MAO inhibitors,
ergot-containing drugs, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine,
or sertraline. |

If your initial dose does not produce expected results, often a second dose may be recommended.
