What is Fioricet?
Fioricet is used in the treatment of tension headaches.
 
 
Are there any side effects associated with Fioricet?
Fioricet side effects include drowsiness, light-headedness, dizziness, sedation, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and intoxicated feeling. If the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
 
How is Fioricet taken?
Follow the directions for taking Fioricet provided by your doctor. One or two tablets can be taken every four hours as needed. Total daily dosage should not exceed six tablets. Extended and repeated use of this product is not recommended because of the potential for physical dependence. 
 
Are there any effects of taking Fioricet with other medications?
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Fioricet. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. The CNS effects of butalbital may be enhanced by monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors.
 
How should I store Fioricet?
Store Fioricet at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light.
