What is Cozaar?
Cozaar is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.
 
 
Are there any side effects associated with Cozaar?
Cozaar side effects may include cough, dizziness, and upper respiratory infection. If the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Less common and rare Cozaar side effects may include allergic reactions, back and leg pain, diarrhea, indigestion, insomnia, muscle cramps or pain, nasal congestion, rash, sinus problems, and swelling of face, lips, throat, and tongue.
 
How is Cozaar taken?
Follow the directions for taking Cozaar provided by your doctor. Cozaar can be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day. For example, if you take the medication every morning before or after breakfast, you will establish a regular routine and be less likely to forget your dose. If you miss a dose take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at once.
 
Are there any effects of taking Cozaar with other medications?
Some medicines may interact with Cozaar. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. It is especially important to check with your doctor before taking Cozaar with diuretics that leave potassium in the body, indomethacin, ketoconazole, or troleandomycin.
 
How should I store Cozaar?
Store Cozaar at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light.
