| Are there any side effects associated with Coreg?

Coreg side effects may include back pain, bronchitis, chest pain, cough, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, fever, headache, increased blood sugar levels, joint pain, low blood pressure, muscle aches, nausea, pain, respiratory infection, sinus problems, slow heartbeat, sore throat, swelling, urinary infection, vision changes, vomiting, weakness,
and weight gain.
If the side effects continue or are bothersome, check with
your doctor. Less common Coreg side effects may include allergy, blood in urine, dark stools, feeling of illness, gum disease, high blood pressure, impotence, increased sweating, infection, kidney problems, lack of sensitivity to touch, palpitation, reddish or purplish spots, shortness of breath, sleepiness, tingling or numbness, trouble sleeping, vertigo,
and weight loss. |

| How is Coreg taken?
|
|
Follow the directions for taking Coreg provided by your doctor. Take Coreg twice a day with food. If you are taking the drug for high blood pressure, there should be improvement within 7 to 14 days.
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule.
Do not take
two doses at once. |

| Are there any effects of taking Coreg with other medications?

Some medicines may interact with Coreg. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking.
It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Coreg with
calcium channel blockers, cimetidine, clonidine, cyclosporine, diabetes pills,
drugs classified as MAO inhibitors, digoxin, fluoxetine, insulin,
paroxetine, propafenone, quinidine, reserpine, or rifampin. |

Store Coreg at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light. |
