| Are there any side effects associated with Combivir?

Combivir side effects may include abdominal pain, abdominal cramps, allergic reactions, blisters, blood disorders, bone pain, breast enlargement, chills, cough, depression, diarrhea, dizziness, fat redistribution, fatigue, fever, flu-like symptoms, hair loss, headache, heart weakness, high blood sugar, indigestion, inflamed blood vessels, insomnia, joint pain, liver disorders, loss of appetite, mouth discoloration, mouth sores, muscle aches or weakness, nasal symptoms, nausea, nerve disorders, pancreatitis, seizures, skin rash, sleep disorders, vomiting, weakness,
and wheezing.

| How is Combivir taken?
|
|
Follow the directions for taking Combivir provided by your doctor. It's important to keep adequate levels of Combivir in your bloodstream at all times, so you need to take it regularly, exactly as prescribed, even when you're feeling better. Doses can be taken with or without food.
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule.
Do not take
two doses at once. |

| Are there any effects of taking Combivir with other medications?

Some medicines may interact with Combivir. Inform your doctor of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking.
It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Combivir with
chemotherapy drugs, doxorubicin, ganciclovir, interferon, ribavirin,
stavudine, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, or zalcitabine. |

| How should I store Combivir?

Store Combivir at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from heat and light. |
