| How is Colace taken?
|
|
Follow the directions for taking Colace provided by your doctor. To conceal the drug's bitter taste, take Colace liquid in half a glass of milk or fruit
juice. It can be given in infant formula. The proper dosage of this medication may also be added to a retention or flushing enema. For Colace
Microenema lubricate the tip by pushing out a drop of the medication.
Slowly insert the full length of the nozzle into the rectum. (Stop halfway for children aged 3 to 12 years of age.)
Squeeze out the contents of the tube. Remove the nozzle before you release your grip on the tube. Take this medication only as needed. |
