What is Bontril?
Bontril is an appetite suppressant used to control and reduce body weight. Bontril is used in conjunction with an overall diet plan to reduce weight.
 
 
Are there any side effects associated with Bontril?
Side effects include blurred vision, dizziness, dry mouth, sleeplessness, irritability, stomach upset or constipation.  If these effects persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience chest pain, nervousness, pounding heart, difficulty urinating, mood changes, breathing difficulties or swelling while taking this medication.
 
How often is Bontril taken?
Bontril is usually taken once a day, 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, for 8 to 12 weeks on an empty stomach.
 
Are there any effects of taking Bontril with other medications?
Inform your doctor about all the medicines you use, especially if you take high blood pressure medicine or MAO inhibitors or any other weight loss medicine. Avoid "stimulant" drugs that may increase your heart rate such as decongestants or caffeine.
 
What if I miss a dose of Bontril?
f you miss a dose, do not double the next dose. Just skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
