What is Aldara?
Aldara is a topical cream that's used to treat genital warts.
 
 
Are there any side effects associated with Aldara?
Side effects from Aldara are redness, peeling, and swelling. More severe side effects include burning, itching, and pain where Aldara cream is applied. Tell your doctor about side effects you experience.
 
How is Aldara taken?
Aldara is applied directly on the wart. Before you use Aldara wash your hands completely. Then apply a thin layer of cream on the warts. Be sure to rub the cream until it vanishes. When you're done, wash your hands and discard the open packet. Leave the cream on for 6 to 10 hours. After 6 to 10 hours wash the area with mild soap and water. 
 
What if I forget a dose of Aldara?
If you forget a dose of Aldara skip it and continue on with your regular schedule. 
 
Is Aldara a cure?
Aldara isn't a cure for genital warts. New warts may develop during the course of treatment. While using Aldara, do not cover the warts with bandages or other closed dressings.
